Here you will find everything you need to know about making appointments, preparing for examinations, reordering prescriptions and communication channels.

Date preparation

THE DAY BEFORE

In most cases, a blood sample is taken at the first appointment (micronutrient analysis, fatty acid analysis, etc.). You should therefore refrain from taking any non-essential medication on the day of your appointment and not take any dietary supplements for at least the day before.

Twelve hours before your appointment, you should not eat or drink anything apart from water. If you have difficulty staying sober for this long, you are welcome to take a small breakfast with you and eat it immediately after the blood sample has been taken.

The FIRST appointment

So that you know what to expect, we have compiled the most important points for you here:

1. check the practice documents for completeness and update the data (medical history form, treatment contract, insurance details)

2. anamnesis, discussion of existing findings and necessary diagnostics, nutritional check (approx. 1.5 hours) and examinations (blood pressure, VNS analysis, physical examination) — often initial therapy recommendations can be given based on these findings

3. blood sampling and, if necessary, explanation of the laboratory tests that you can carry out at home

4. further appointments and planning of external examinations (e.g. performance diagnostics, dental status or other specialists)

Please bring / note the following to your first appointment: The first appointment takes approx. 120 minutes, including the intake interview, examinations, blood sampling and all explanations. Please send previous findings (laboratory, doctor’s letters, imaging) and an overview of your medication intake or dietary supplements in advance.

Billing

Statutory insured
(GKV)

Unfortunately, it is not possible to settle the costs incurred via statutory health insurance funds. Those with statutory health insurance will receive an invoice in accordance with the GOÄ (scale of fees for doctors), which they must pay privately (self-payers).

Privately insured
(PKV)

We always charge according to the GOÄ (scale of fees for doctors). Due to the very high amount of time and discussion required, this is charged at 2.3–5 times the rate (depending on the time required). There are costs that are not covered by private health insurance. You will then have to pay these costs yourself.
