Children’s health

Holistic care for your child’s health.
Children are not small adults. They have their own metabolism, their immune and digestive systems are still developing, they are growing and they therefore have their own health challenges.

SYMPTOMS

Frequent infections

Many children suffer from recurring infections, which can be a sign of an immature or overloaded immune system or a sign of micronutrient deficiencies.

Digestive problems

Unspecific abdominal pain, bloating, constipation or diarrhea are common complaints that can indicate food intolerances or other digestive disorders.

Attention deficit/hyperactivity disorder ADHD

Symptoms such as concentration difficulties, hyperactivity and impulsivity can impair children’s learning and social skills.

Approach

Observations

Unfortunately, we see time and again that many symptoms in children are not taken seriously if they are not too serious. Parents have the feeling that ‚something is wrong‘, but pediatricians often don’t have the time to get to the bottom of it or lack the expertise. In our experience, these feelings are usually justified. Symptoms such as mild exhaustion, digestive problems or behavioral problems are often early indicators of nutritional deficiencies, inappropriate nutrition or more complex health disorders.

Our team takes the time to take these signs seriously and get to the bottom of them. We understand that early intervention and a holistic approach are crucial, especially in children, to avoid long-term health problems and lay the foundations for a healthy adult life.

Forms of therapy

Through our comprehensive approach and the inclusion of various diagnostic methods (blood values, neurotransmitters, genetics, microbiome and stool examination), we are able to decipher even subtle symptoms and develop appropriate treatment strategies. This enables us to offer children and their families targeted and effective support that is tailored to the specific needs and health challenges of each individual child.

Our therapeutic approaches include a wide range of methods depending on the diagnosis. These include

  • Individual nutritional advice
  • Micronutrient therapy
  • Naturopathic treatments
  • Support with lifestyle (exercise, school, sleep)

Each treatment is designed in close consultation with the families to ensure that it is practical and prioritizes the child’s well-being. Our aim is not only to treat the symptoms, but also to promote the long-term health and development of the children.

„For children in particular, early intervention and a holistic approach are crucial to avoid long-term health problems and lay the foundations for a healthy adult life.“

GOOD TO KNOW

We look forward to welcoming you to our clinic. We take enough time to understand your medical history. Based on your previous findings, the completed medical history form and our diagnostics, we will create a customized treatment plan for you. Please note that you should come with an empty stomach (water is permitted) to enable us to make an accurate diagnosis.

We attach great importance to cost transparency and will inform you of the costs incurred before treatment begins. Please note that private health insurance policies are very unlikely to cover all services. In such cases, you will have to bear the costs yourself. We will be happy to answer any questions you may have about insurance cover, co-payments or payment options.

To make your appointment with us as convenient as possible, we offer you the option of simply arranging your consultation online. You can choose between appointments of 30 or 60 minutes, depending on your needs. Alternatively, you can also leave us a message by phone and we will get back to you immediately to arrange your appointment.

To ensure effective communication, we ask you to select an appointment option online. Be it for a face-to-face appointment in the practice, a video consultation or a telephone consultation. Alternatively, you can also leave us a telephone message.

Please understand that e‑mail inquiries cannot be answered due to time constraints.

Please note that repeat prescription orders will be processed with sufficient lead time (14 days). For prescription requests, please send an e‑mail to: rezepte@zentrum-funktionelle-medizin.de

We are aware of our responsibility and devote the utmost attention to your concerns. The path of functional medicine requires patience and it takes experience to develop solutions that enable health in depth. In doing so, we conduct research and talk to other specialists and therapists until we have found a solution.
