Healthy in old age

Vitality and lots of joie de vivre for as long as possible.
It’s not just about living longer, but also about maximizing our years of life with good health and a high quality of life. This also includes the prevention and management of age-related diseases such as osteoporosis. We are dedicated to helping people live healthy and fulfilling lives into old age. With a holistic approach that combines the latest medical findings with individual therapy concepts, we aim to alleviate the typical symptoms of ageing and improve our patients’ quality of life.

SYMPTOMS

Decrease in physical performance:

Despite an active lifestyle, many older people notice a gradual decline in their physical performance, such as reduced stamina or slower recovery after physical exertion.

Declining cognitive abilities and memory problems:

These affect mental clarity and are a common concern in old age. Many people experience slight delays in memory or find it more challenging to concentrate on complex tasks.

Nutrition

Nutritional needs change with age. After a certain age, many people often find it difficult to find the right balance in their diet to maintain their energy levels, preserve muscle and bone mass and regulate their weight at the same time.

Approach

Observations

Ageing affects all of us, some sooner, some later. Of course, we have a genetic predisposition that influences our ageing, but there is also much more that we can influence ourselves. These include diet, physical activity, the quality of our sleep and the impact of external factors such as environmental pollutants, drinking alcohol or smoking. By making conscious decisions in these areas, we can exert a positive influence on our quality of life and health in old age and make the most of our years.

Forms of therapy

Through a targeted medical history, we work together to find possible ‚pro-ageing factors‘ and uncover existing dysfunctions or deficiencies with a detailed laboratory analysis. We can then slow down the ageing process with targeted micronutrient substitution, individual dietary changes and, if necessary, hormone replacement therapy (oestradiol, progesterone, testosterone, pregnenolone, DHEA).
We also place a special focus on the prevention and treatment of osteoporosis through nutritional advice, optimization of bone metabolism and physical training.
„Of course we have a genetic predisposition that influences our ageing, but there is also a lot more that we can influence ourselves.“

GOOD TO KNOW

We look forward to welcoming you to our clinic. We take enough time to understand your medical history. Based on your previous findings, the completed medical history form and our diagnostics, we will create a customized treatment plan for you. Please note that you should come with an empty stomach (water is permitted) to enable us to make an accurate diagnosis.

We attach great importance to cost transparency and will inform you of the costs incurred before treatment begins. Please note that private health insurance policies are very unlikely to cover all services. In such cases, you will have to bear the costs yourself. We will be happy to answer any questions you may have about insurance cover, co-payments or payment options.

To make your appointment with us as convenient as possible, we offer you the option of simply arranging your consultation online. We are aware of our responsibility and devote the utmost attention to your concerns. The path of functional medicine requires patience and it takes experience to develop solutions that enable health in depth.
