Dr. Sophia Wachner combines her many years of expertise in conventional medicine with a deep understanding of complex systemic relationships. Her holistic approach to functional and integrative medicine focuses on the individual and long-term health of her patients.
She studied at the Ludwig-Maximilians-Universität (LMU) in Munich and gained valuable international experience during her practical training in Australia and Thailand. She also completed her doctorate in the field of regenerative medicine at the LMU.
She initially completed her specialist training at Munich Schwabing Hospital, where she specialized in cardiology, pneumology, intensive care and emergency medicine. She completed her specialist training at the renowned Center for Prevention and Sports Medicine at the Technical University of Munich.
In addition to patient care, she devoted herself to medical publications and wrote specialist books. Extensive further training has taken her into the fields of functional medicine, bioidentical hormone therapy, environmental medicine, orthomolecular medicine, genetics and stress medicine — with stops across Europe and in the USA.
As co-founder of Nutridocs°, she has dedicated herself to the further training of doctors in the field of nutrition. Since 2022, she has been authorized by the Bavarian Medical Association to train doctors in nutritional medicine.
In 2018, she founded her own practice for functional medicine. In 2025, she expanded her services by founding the Center for Functional Medicine in Munich.
