IHHT altitude training

More energy and effec­tive alti­tude trai­ning with interval hypoxia-​hyperoxia alti­tude trai­ning.
IHHT, or Interval Hypoxia-​Hyperoxia Training, is a comfor­table alti­tude trai­ning. The posi­tive influence of alti­tude has been known for centu­ries. For some time now, we have been able to make use of this posi­tive effect in our prac­tice and send you up the moun­tain in a relaxed manner.

Advantages

The bene­fits of IHHT can include improved perfor­mance, increased energy, improved stamina and greater resis­tance to physical and mental stress. It can also streng­then the cardio­vas­cular and respi­ra­tory systems and contri­bute to overall health impro­ve­ment. This is why it is often used by athletes to enhance their perfor­mance. We also like to use IHHT in very low doses for chronic fatigue (ME/​CFS) as part of a multi­modal therapy concept and have seen good results with it.

Effect

The posi­tive effect on the body comes from the body’s adapt­a­tion to these chan­ging condi­tions. When oxygen levels are low, the body has to work more effi­ci­ently to trans­port oxygen to the cells. Among other things, this can improve the effi­ci­ency of the mito­chon­dria, the energy power plants of the cells. When the body then returns to a normal envi­ron­ment, it can make better use of the oxygen.

Functionality

It works as follows: During an IHHT session, you alter­nate between breathing air with a low oxygen content (hypoxia) and then air with a high oxygen content (hyper­oxia). This alter­na­tion simu­lates the condi­tions you expe­ri­ence at high alti­tude and then again in an oxygen-​rich envi­ron­ment.
